British Airways has outlined plans to expand its services from London Heathrow to Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires this winter.
The carrier’s route to Sao Paulo Guarulhos International Airport will increase from daily to ten flights per week from 29 October, 2024, increasing capacity by 28 per cent compared to last winter.
Existing flights are served by BA’s A350-1000 aircraft, while the three additional frequencies will be operated by the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.
Note also that from 27 October the route will switch from Heathrow’s T3 to T5.
Meanwhile the airline’s Heathrow-Rio de Janeiro-Buenos Aires route will be served by BA’s A350-1000 from 27 October, resulting in an increase in seat capacity of 22 per cent compared to last winter.
